2024 Volkswagen ID.Buzz

The 2024 Volkswagen ID.Buzz is almost here! Earlier this month, the 3rd row ID.Buzz debuted in Huntington Beach, CA. This ID.Buzz is specifically tailor-made for North America, offering a longer wheelbase and 3rd-row seats. Read on to learn more!

The American ID.Buzz takes what was great from the two-row European version and improves it in various ways, starting with the “engine.” The European version debuted with an 82 kWh battery and 201hp, but the North American version debuts with a 91 kWh battery and 282hp. And in the all-wheel-drive version, which will also be available at launch, it’s powered by dual motors that produce 330hp. The new electric motors also increase the top speed from 90mph in the two-row to 99mph in the three-row ID.Buzz.

Outside, the ID.Buzz has all the retro cues from the Bus, like the oversized VW logo and a fun two-tone color palette(the ID.Buzz in the pictures is in the cool Cabana Blue). The rear doors are power-sliding and the rear hatch comes standard with a power tailgate thanks to Easy Open and Close.

Inside, Volkswagen has taken all the feedback on the infotainment system and the ID.Buzz gets the all-new system coming to the ID.7 sedan. More importantly, the touch sliders for the volume and temperature are illuminated, and the climate controls are integrated into the bottom of the screen; no need to press Clima to pull it up and change the settings.
